Crushing, recycling and land restoration are an important part of our operations. We help give materials a second life by transforming demolition arisings and site-won materials into high-quality recycled aggregates and engineered soils that can be reused across a wide range of construction and earthworks projects.

OEC undertakes contract crushing and screening for major national and independent aggregate producers and other parties generating production waste. We deliver consistent sub-base materials, single-size aggregates and specialist recycled products, produced to agreed specification and performance standards.

Our investment in modern, high-performance plant is reflected in our crushing and recycling capability, led by the Pilot Crushtec TwisterTrac VS350E. Delivering high throughput, premium recycled aggregates and manufactured sand, it also reduces fuel use and emissions while maximising material recovery and operational efficiency. Integrated crushing & screening capability

As our crushing and recycling service has expanded, so too has our investment in specialist, high-quality modern plant. OEC operates its own comprehensive fleet of tracked mobile equipment, enabling flexible deployment across quarries, infrastructure schemes, remediation sites and major developments nationwide. Our crusher fleet includes:

  • Tracked mobile primary jaw crushers
  • Tracked mobile secondary cone crushers
  • Tracked mobile vertical shaft impact crushers
  • Horizontal shaft mobile crushers

This configuration allows us to tailor crushing circuits to feedstock characteristics and required output grading, whether processing primary stone, rail ballast, concrete, asphalt, bricks, blocks or specialist materials such as recycled glass sand.

Advanced screening & washing operations

Our screening fleet comprises tracked mobile units of varying capacities, fitted with integrated magnets and dust suppression systems to maintain material purity and environmental control.

We offer specialist dry screening operations, delivering precise material separation and grading across a wide range of aggregates, soils, recycled materials, and site-won products to maximise reuse, efficiency, and specification compliance.

All loading shovels are equipped with on-board weigh loaders and printers, ensuring accurate material measurement and transparent reporting. Excavators operate with pulverisers, hydraulic breakers and magnets, enabling efficient material segregation and preparation prior to processing.
