Our approach to environmental responsibility is built around practical, measurable actions that reduce impact across every stage of a project. Through continued investment in modern, fuel-efficient plant and machinery, including hybrid equipment and low-emission technologies, we work to reduce fuel consumption, emissions and unnecessary environmental impact on site. Project planning is carefully considered to minimise diesel usage through efficient sequencing, reduced machine movements and smarter material logistics. We also utilise HVO fuel where appropriate, alongside battery and solar-powered welfare units and lighting towers to further reduce reliance on traditional fuels.
Technology also plays an important role in improving environmental performance. Through advanced telematics and data-led monitoring, we are able to track fuel efficiency, reduce idle time and optimise equipment usage across projects. Material reuse remains central to our operational approach, helping minimise waste, reduce transport movements and maximise the value of site-won materials through crushing, screening and recycling operations.
Beyond operational efficiency, we are committed to supporting wider environmental improvement through biodiversity and land enhancement wherever possible, while working with suppliers and partners who share our commitment to improving carbon standards and responsible environmental practices throughout the supply chain.
